Your privacy is important to us. You provide important information about yourself to a variety of businesses and organizations. The same is true when you do business with our financial institution. You are asked to provide us with certain personal information that helps us give you better service and complete your transactions more efficiently.
We work diligently to safeguard the information you give to us. In fact, we have developed policies to ensure your confidentiality and maintain your confidence. Our Privacy Policy details the standards we have in place. We will tell you the sources of the information we collect about you and we will tell you what measures we take to secure that information.
When we use the words “you” and “your,” we mean the following types of customers: our consumer customers who have a continuing relationship by purchasing or holding financial products or services such as a(n) deposit account, loan account, safe deposit box, retail installment contract we hold and service, or former customers. We, our, and us, when used in this notice, mean First National Bank & Trust Co.
THE KIND OF INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We first define some terms:
- Nonpublic personal information means information about you that we collect in connection with providing a financial product or service to you. Nonpublic personal information does not include information that is available from public sources, such as telephone directories or government records. Hereafter, we will use the term “information” to mean nonpublic personal information as defined in this section.
- An affiliate is a company we own or control, a company that owns or controls us, or a company that is owned or controlled by the same company that owns or controls us. Ownership does not mean complete ownership, but means owning enough to have control.
- A nonaffiliated third party is a person we do not employ known as a nonaffiliated third party, or simply, an “other party.”
THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT
In the normal course of our business relationship with you, we collect various kinds of information from different sources:
- Information you give us on applications or other forms
- Information about your transactions with us
- Information about your transactions with our affiliates
- Information about your transactions with other parties
- Information from a consumer reporting agency
YOUR INFORMATION AND TYPES OF AFFILIATES
We may disclose information about you to our affiliates. Here are the kinds of information and source of that information:
Transaction and experience information from our account records, including information about your transactions and experience with us, such as name, address, account balances, account activity, types of accounts, payment history, parties to the transaction, or deposit history.
Federal law allows us to disclose the information listed above to our affiliates. You do not have a right to opt out of the disclosure of this information.
We may disclose information about you to the following types of affiliates:
- Financial service providers, such as Sovereign Nation Housing Authority (applies only to loans that are related to tribal loan programs)
YOUR INFORMATION AND OTHER PARTIES
We will not disclose information about you to anyone except as disclosed in this policy or as permitted by law.
INFORMATION ABOUT FORMER CUSTOMERS
We have the same policy about disclosing information about former customers as we do about current customers.
TRUST DEPARTMENT INFORMATION
We do not share any information we collect in connection with offering our trust department services with anyone (except to the extent necessary to complete transactions authorized by you.)
AUTHORIZED SHARING – OUTSIDE MARKETING SERVICES
We may disclose the following information to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf:
- Information you give us on an application or other form, such as name and address
- Information about your transactions with us, such as account balances, account activity, and types of accounts
We disclose the information listed above with companies that perform marketing services on our behalf. You do not have a right to opt out of the disclosure of this information.
We may also disclose information about you to other outside marketing services as permitted by law.
The types of businesses with who we may disclose information for outside marketing purposes are service providers that perform marketing services for us, such as direct sales companies.
AUTHORIZED SHARING – JOINT MARKETING
We may disclose the following information to other financial institutions with who we have joint marketing agreements:
• Information you give us on an application or other forms, such as name, address, and telephone number
• Information about your transactions with us, such as account balances, account activity, types of accounts, and deposit history
We disclose the information listed above with other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements. You do not have a right to opt out of the disclosure of this information.
HOW WE KEEP INFORMATION PRIVATE
We protect your information by maintaining physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard customer information. Additionally, we have internal policies and procedures to enforce our commitment to maintaining the privacy of your information. These policies include:
- Training employees on privacy
- Allowing only authorized employees, who need that information to perform specific job responsibilities, access to customer information, and;
- Maintaining confidentiality agreements obligating third parties who have access to customer information to follow appropriate standards of security and confidentiality that are acceptable to us.
